Theresa Chambers, Chief Motivation Officer of Recognition Works, changes the way organizations think about employee recognition. She brings 16 years of experience designing successful recognition strategies and is one of the region’s most highly regarded experts in the field. In fact, the U.S. Small Business Administration named Recognition Works as the Home Based Business Champion of 2008 for Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska (Read Press Release).

As a former board member of Recognition Professionals International, Theresa implemented the first-ever Best Practices Award Program and chaired RPI’s Regional Conference held in Seattle. For eight years, Theresa managed the City of Seattle’s performance and service award programs and served as in-house consultant to City departments.
Currently, as chair of the Puget Sound Recognition Roundtable, Theresa stays connected to the latest thinking on employee motivation, engagement and retention strategies. Passionate about recognition, Theresa frequently presents workshops to companies across the country.
From 2004-2009, she moderated the Best Places to Work Forum sponsored by the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce featuring presentations by Washington based businesses including Microsoft, Nordstrom, Perkins Coie, REI, and Starbucks. More recently, she cochairs the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility and leads the Core Leadership Community Coalition to raise awareness among employers and employees in our community about the importance of workplace effectiveness and flexibility.
